Ride more. Worry less. We handle the rest.
Meet Anju.
Anju is from here. Not just from Sri Lanka — from this village, these beaches, this coastline.
Surfing with him is relaxed, supportive, and fun. No ego, no pressure — just good guidance, local knowledge, and someone who truly enjoys sharing the waves with people.
Whether you’re standing up for the first time or refining your turns, Anju adapts every session to your level and is always there to encourage you along the way.
For experienced surfers who don’t need lessons, Anju and the team offer local surf guidance and will take you to the best spots according to the conditions and your level.
Where we surf.
We're not just close to good surf. We're close to the right surf — for every level, every morning, every mood.
How we surf.
01
All levels, no ego.
Whether it's your first lesson or you've been surfing for years, sessions are adapted to your level and what you want to work on. The goal is simple: help you feel comfortable in the water, enjoy your surf, and naturally keep improving along the way.
02
Safety first, always.
You'll never be sent somewhere you're not ready for. Safety briefing before paddling out is standard — always. Groups are kept small so every surfer gets real attention in the water: up to 3 per coach for beginners, 3 to 4 for intermediate and advanced levels.
03
Daily session. Once a day.
We surf every morning before the wind and heat pick up — except Sundays, when our instructors take their well-earned day off. Feel like another session? The boards are yours to use, and sunset is often the best time to head back out.
04
Boards for every level.
Foam boards for beginners, a quiver of shortboards and longboards for everyone else. Board insurance is not included in the package — we recommend adding it as an option when you book.
05
Video analysis.
We film your sessions so you can see exactly what's happening when you surf. Where your weight is, when you're early, what to adjust. One of the fastest ways to improve — and one of the most humbling.
06
Photo & video sessions.
Want to come home with more than a memory? We work with a local Weligama photographer to offer personalised surf shoots — in the water, at golden hour. Available as an add-on.
When to surf.
The main season.
November — April
From November to April, the South Coast usually sees its cleanest and most consistent conditions. Mornings are often glassy, the water stays warm year-round, and the waves work well for all levels — from complete beginners to more experienced surfers.
Offshore winds · clean, glassy mornings
Consistent 1–2m swells · all levels
Water temp 27–29°C · no wetsuit needed
The slower season.
May — October
There are still plenty of good surf days — often with fewer people in the water — and there's always a wave suited to your level somewhere along the coast.
SW monsoon · occasional rain & wind
More space in the water · waves for every level
Uncrowded breaks · great value
