Move. Breathe. Come back to yourself.
Meet Sarah.
Trained here on the island (YTT 200h), our co-founder teaches yoga as a space to reconnect — to the body, the breath, and inner rhythm. Through dynamic and grounding practices, she invites students to explore alignment, develop mobility, and evolve with awareness.
Her classes are joyful, inclusive, and designed to help each student learn, feel, and grow — whether you've been on a mat for years or never tried.
Sarah teaches morning or sunset sessions at Lanka, joined throughout the season by a rotating cast of local and international teachers — each bringing their own lineage, style, and energy to the space.
How we practice.
Morning · 8:00 – 9:30 AM
Dynamic & energising.
Wake the body, set the tone. Morning sessions are active and focused — vinyasa flow, alignment work, breathwork. Designed to open the hips, activate the core, and build the mobility that makes everything else in the day easier — including surfing.
Sunset · 4:30 – 6:00 PM
Slow, deep, restorative.
Let the day settle. Sunset sessions are slower and deeper — yin, restorative, mobility work. The kind of practice that lets you feel everything you've done, then gently lets it go. On the rooftop, with the light turning gold and the ocean somewhere in the distance.
All levels welcome.
No experience needed. Teachers read the room and adapt — beginners and experienced practitioners practice side by side.
Everything provided.
Mats, blocks, straps, bolsters — all included. Just show up as you are.
Built for surfers.
Whether you surf or not, the practice stands alone. But if you do — the difference in the water is real.
Where we practice.

Yoga & Surf — Better together.
At Lanka, yoga and surf aren't two activities on a schedule. They're designed to work together.
Morning yoga prepares the body for the water — opening the hips, activating the core, building the shoulder mobility that makes paddling easier and surfing more fluid.
Evening sessions bring you back — releasing tension from the session, restoring what the ocean took, helping the body recover so you show up stronger the next morning.
Whether you surf or not, the practice stands on its own. But if you do — you'll feel the difference.
A note on teachers.
Throughout the season, Lanka welcomes a rotating selection of local Sri Lankan and international yoga teachers — each bringing their own lineage, style, and energy to the space. Different weeks, different voices, same intention.
Full teacher schedule available closer to opening.
